Jane was sitting on her sofa bed watching as the rain pours, the cold soaked up all her energy that made her feel rather cozy. She tuck in and was ready to doze off, a second later, a text message received. It was from her long lost lover, Damian.
"why do you ever let me go?"
The grief that she thought she had put aside and the affection towards him that she thought was meant to die, suddenly gushes in, and its like she was eighteen again. So she replied.
"Wow what a lovely thought of yours to text me, no matter what reason it is. I'm just glad you thought of me. Damian, I let you go is because, I believe in fate and love. "
"what does that suppose to mean? You meant the world to me darling, you still are."
"I remember back then, when you look me in eyes, I see two very distinctive things. I see your soul lying naked hoping I would love you the way you would love me, and the other is battling between what you desire and what you were ask you to choose. You know we are not allowed to be friends but we fought against that, we fought again and again, like there was no end to that road. We made a pact, don't you remember? What ever happen we got each others back and pushing each others potential till we reach the skies. I gave my best, my all, pouring my deepest thoughts, my soft side to you because for what ever reason there is, I knew I was kinda made for you. However, your mother strongly believes that what we had was just a puppy love and its too early for you to love someone. In another life, I wish your mum would give me a chance to show her who I really am, to show her how much I adore and love her son and most importantly how positive the bond that we had could affect us. Too bad, you only live once. I can't be selfish baby, I can't look at you pretending to be happy while you're not. I remember that date, it was the last date we had. Everything just was so clear, your sadness was so sheer that I can see through you. Maybe it was a sign, maybe I should stop, the only thing I can do is set you free. I felt like I was locked up in a cage of love. Maybe you don't get it, it is something called sacrifice. Just remember darling, that was my last choice. "
and she didn't get a reply.
